« On y danse, on y danse… » or « Here we dance, here we dance... ». But not only that! The famous Avignon Bridge or Saint Bénezet Bridge is often the starting point for exploring the historic centre. Although today it no longer connects the two banks of the Rhône river, the bridge offers a nice view of the city of Avignon and the Rock of the Doms.

THE PALACE OF POPES
The largest 14th century Gothic monument in Europe, the Popes' Palace is a 15,000 m2 fortress built based on the North Palace and the South Palace surrounded by the Roman Cathedral of Our Lady or « Notre Dame » and the Little Palace or « Petit Palais ».
It houses a remarkable museum, serving frequently for exhibitions, congresses and very especially to host main presentations during the Avignon Theatre Festival. The thrilling heart of Avignon is the centre for anyone visiting our city.
