The person at reception was kind and helpful. The location is excellent. The hotel did have a certain ambiance. I did not try the breakfast.&#010;&#010;\u2639This is a very modest hotel that needs renovation and some loving care. It is not dirty but it is not particularly comfortable either. My room, billed as a double, would have been fine for two persons the size of 8 year old children, but not for two normal sized adults. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was uncomfortable. It is cheap, which is fair. R-CONTENT --><strong>A hotel that makes you want to return.<\/strong>&#010;We parked our car in a free parking lot on the \u00cele de Piot and a shuttle, also free, took us in a few minutes to the Porte de l'Oulle near the hotel. So far, it is the cheapest place we have stayed during our trip in Provence, but by far the friendliest. The Mignon Hotel fully deserves to be recommended in the Michelin Green Guide. It is human-sized and comfortable. Breakfast is good and varied with bread, eggs, and fruit. The owners are welcoming and always ready to exchange a few words. From there, we were able to explore the entire city of Avignon, starting with the Palais des Papes which is very close. Staff are friendly and speak English well. The hotel is very quiet and we slept well. Rooms can be small, especially your private bathroom, but we got used to it. Kettle and tea and coffee are provided in your room. We could open our window wide to set our chosen ventilation level. Breakfasts are large and enjoyable, including eggs and excellent home-made yoghurt. The location of the hotel is truly perfect. You\u2019re very close to the central Place de Horloge where there are many outdoor restaurants. All the main Avignon sights are easy walking distance. The visit-worthy Calvet art gallery is just a few doors from the Mignon. Even the Avignon Centre Rail Station, a little further away, is an easy walk. The well-preserved historic street, where the hotel is located, is occupied by many small, discreetly chic clothes or jewellery shops.
